In regards to Julia Anne's post, I was at the salon that day and your review is completely inaccurate. You and your children were out of control. The hair dresser did NOT spit angrily in your child's face. Your child would not sit still and your other child was running up and down the salon yelling, disturbing other clients and hairdressers. I HIGHLY recommend bringing young children here (my children have had numerous haircuts here with absolutely no issues) and find the staff highly qualified. 5 stars in my books.
If I would give ZERO stars I could..... DO NOT BRING SMALL CHILDREN HERE!One of the staff members LITERALLY got into my 4 year old daughter's face- spitting ANGRY into her ear right in front of me- THREATENING that she would stop cutting her hair if she didn't stop wiggling...My small child was not yelling, whining, or screaming. She was using her manners and being polite, unlike the staff member who she unfortunately met that day. She had some, "I'm excited for my school haircut," wiggles and she and I both paid the price for it.....my child is 4 ....both her and I left in tears, as did my 6 year old....I literally felt it necessary to call the police and reported verbal harassment because of the behavior the staff member displayed that day.......not what I expected at the salon ....the hair cut was AWFUL and needed to be completely redone Everyone has bad days- I get it- but NO ONE is allowed to treat a child in that way! Hairdressing Goddess or not!!! I am a registered professional as well as a full-time child advocate- FYI...Whoever Nicole A is, if you were there, you ought to be ashamed of yourself for not intervening when you saw me and my small children being harassed at this place of business- it takes all kinds to make this world that we all have to live in... I guess...The staff member knew it was only my child's SECOND haircut AND knew that it was her Haircut for HER FIRST YEAR OF JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN- yikes!Buyer Beware...Got my $12 back today as well as an apology from Laurie's boss! Hair Port and especially Lori are top notch & first class all the way! She is probably one of the most kindest gentlest people going.Temper a single bad comment , and focus on the majority!
Love Hair Gallery and their staff. As a public school teacher I highly recommend them especially when it comes to the care of small children. My children and now grandchildren love getting their hair cut there. Well done girls.
