I want to start off this review by saying that I have had positive experiences with the teachers at Northport for the one year my kids have attended this school. However, the administration is abysmal. If I could give negative stars I would. The Vice Principal is arrogant, unsympathetic, and lacks any ability in handling children, their parents, or any type of compromise. She is insincere and does not listen to the needs or concerns of the children or parents. I'm not sure why all the 'townies' talk up Northport to be 'the school' your kids NEED to be in. I regret enrolling my children here. The facilities are lacking due to having absolutely no space, the parents have been banished from entering the yard for some unknown ridiculous reason, and worst of all, the administration is so condescending and unnecessarily dismissive. Very discouraging and disappointing. I urge you to look into other schools if you are new to town and wondering what district you want to live in.
