My wife and I are vegan, it is very hard to find a place that has good vegan options, but also real food. Let me tell you it was absolutely outstanding! We still talk about how good the food was! But not only the food the service was amazing and our server, was incredibly knowledgeable about the different spices and foods used in the dishes. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would! We cannot wait to go back again!
We enjoyed Friday dinner at Saffron. One of the owners Jen suggested the curried Mung bean soup and peanut stew. Both were excellent choices. Good portions, good service, great tasting food. The bread is baked in house and is terrific.
Most amazing vegan dishes my husband and I have ever tried! They do serve meat as well but the options for vegan are unreal SO packed with flavour and texture! I ordered the Trinidadian doubles and my husband had the West African Peanut Stew - both to die for!! We can't wait to plan another trip back so we can eat here again!! Also VERY kind knowledgeable staff and lovely outdoor atmosphere
Excellent variety of World foods. My Wife and I went for our Anniversary and just loved it. Started with a very authentic bowl of Mexican bean soup. Superb...no other word for it. She had a curried chicken dish while I had Pad Thai. Both of us took about the same amount home as what we ate. Portion sizes are very generous and the taste is outta this world! The owner greeted us, explained their approach to their menu and made sure to come and check on us during supper. The dining room is pretty much just tables and chairs, nothing fancy, but I was extremely impressed by the food and the Staff. Great job and we WILL be back!
A friend and I ate at Saffron and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food (both meat and vegetarian dishes) were delicious. I particularly enjoyed a Moroccan dish that included vegetables and peanut sauce. The service was superb. The ambiance was just delightful. There was a quiet elegance I really appreciated. Thanks so much to the owner who took the time to describe ingredients in various dishes on the menu and offered both vegetarian and vegan options. I will definitely be going back for seconds!!
